Egypt Workers Complex Welcomes Libyan Minister of Labor to Launch Second Phase of Joint Training Program

In accordance with the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to support Arab brotherly nations, and in alignment with the strategic plans of Field Marshal Khalifa Belqasim Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, and the support of Dr. Osama Hammad, Prime Minister of Libya, to empower Libyan youth through specialized training and rehabilitation across various sectors;Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in May 2024 between the Libyan Ministry of Labor and the OMC Economic Group (Egypt Workers Complex), and following the successful conclusion of the first phase of specialized training programs, an extensive meeting was held yesterday at the Egypt Workers Complex headquarters in the Sixth of October Industrial Zone.

The meeting was co-chaired by Engineer Haitham Hussein, Chairman of the Egypt Workers Complex, and His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharef Arhouma, Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation of the Libyan Government.

Advanced Training in Technology and Leadership

The discussions focused on specialized advanced tracks in Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Entrepreneurship, and Comprehensive Media Studies. The session reviewed current labor market challenges and strategies to enhance workforce efficiency through technical and behavioral training programs designed to elevate overall professional capabilities.

For his part, Minister Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharef Arhouma emphasized that the Ministry aims to train 25,000 job seekers domestically and 1,000 candidates abroad.

These programs cover vital specializations that create opportunities in both the public and private sectors—such as veterinary nursing and agricultural land damage assessment—launched under the directives of Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar and the instructions of Prime Minister Dr. Osama Hammad.

Engineer Haitham Hussein, Chairman of Egypt Workers Complex, expressed his appreciation for the visit, noting the Minister’s profound respect for Egyptian expertise.

Hussein affirmed:”The Complex is committed to providing the highest caliber of trainers for the upcoming phase.

We are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge curricula, particularly in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence, to ensure the success of our Libyan partners.”

Distinguished AttendanceThe meeting was attended by key leadership from the Egypt Workers Complex, including:

* Eng. Mohamed El-Bashlawi, Counselor Ahmed Khaled, Mr. Mohamed El-Qat, Mr. Abdel-Moneim, Mr. Mohamed Abu Ghazala, Mr. Abdel-Rahman Mahrous, and Colonel Hossam Magdy.

Prominent Egyptian experts and consultants also participated, including:

* Major General Dr. Osama Ragheb, Consultant at the Military Academy.

* Major General Ahmed Abdel-Hafez, Cybersecurity Expert.

* Sheikh Ibrahim Reda, Senior Scholar at the Ministry of Endowments.

* Mr. Ayman Adly, Head of the External Relations Sector.
