Abdullah Mansour Leads the Case: Sheikh Zayed Dentist Referred to Trial on Medical Negligence Charges

The competent investigative authorities have referred Case No. 1148 of 2025 to the competent court in the complaint filed by a British national, represented by attorney Abdullah Awad Mansour, against a well-known dentist and owner of dental clinics in Sheikh Zayed City, on charges of medical negligence and causing serious bodily harm.
According to the civil claim memorandum submitted by attorney Abdullah Awad Mansour on behalf of the complainant, the accusations are supported by a medical report issued by a three-member committee of professors from the Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University.
Following a clinical examination, the committee confirmed that the dental prosthetics installed in both the upper and lower jaws were not in compliance with proper medical standards.
The report stated that the occlusal surfaces of the prosthetics lacked correct anatomical contouring, resulting in occlusal dysfunction and complications affecting the temporomandibular joint.
It also documented gingival inflammation and bone loss around one of the dental implants, which the committee considered a direct consequence of improper medical intervention requiring corrective treatment.Court documents further indicate that the complainant had visited the clinic seeking cosmetic dental procedures.
The defendant reportedly installed crowns and veneers over several sessions without, as stated in the memorandum, adhering to established medical protocols or conducting comprehensive diagnostic assessments.
The memorandum added that the patient later suffered serious medical complications, including acute gum inflammation, bacterial infection, abscess formation, persistent pain, and difficulty chewing and speaking, in addition to the loosening and detachment of certain dental prosthetics.
The competent court is scheduled to hear the case in upcoming sessions to adjudicate the charges in light of the submitted technical reports and documentation presented by the complainant’s legal counsel.
